First things first, I’M BACK. I mean, I had no intention of leaving or anything like that but some awful things happened with my site ( I almost lost everything on here) so it took a while to get all that fixed. All thanks to my incredible and loving boyfriend and his awesome patient friend, Gilbert. You’re the bomb! So now that my nightmare is over, I can go back to my blogging. Woop woop!
The other thing in which you probably noticed is that I chopped off a good amount of my hair. It took me awhile to decide this. My love for my long hair was pretty real but as someone that likes change from time to time, I felt the need to do this. It’s hair after-all and it does grows back especially mine. My hair grows fairly quickly so no biggie. I must say that I’m loving my new do, it’s fresh, light and just easy.
This floral shirt by French Connection has been a favorite of mine ever since I picked it out to wear to their brunch that they hosted at Cecconi’s. I still can’t get enough of it and the best part is that it comes with the matching pants. To switch it up a bit, I decided to not bottom it up to the top but instead paired it with a bikini top by Chromat that has some fun criss-cross accents in the front. Comfort and coolness at its finest.
During the madness of MBFWSWIM, I only got to shoot one outfit and for that I can thank Ryan. I picked an outfit to keep myself as cool as possible and even then I still managed to sweat a bit. It’s all good because when you’re having a blast you kind of tend to forget that you’re sweating and who cares anyways because everyone else was in the same boat . haha.
A lovely white StyleStalker top, a pair of faux leather gym shorts and a high ponytail and I was ready to take on day one . This year’s swim week was pretty great. I got to hang out with my awesome friends, met new ones, went to some great shows (Mara Hoffman’s show was IT for me) and got to hang out backstage with Stila Cosmetics . Oh and let’s not forget about the fun after-parties. The exhaustion that came when it was all over was definitely worth it.
It’s Sunday and I couldn’t be happier with how I decided to spend my weekend. Basically, I did a whole lot of nothing. Swim Week is right around the corner so conserving my energy is a MUST.
The weather in Miami has been unbearable for the last couple of weeks. It’s either raining like crazy or REALLY hot and humid. That’s why owning camis that show enough skin and cute shorts is a must. Keeping things simple and being comfortable is of the most importance to me lately and more so on hot sunny days.
It’s pretty evident that I’ve been on a monochrome binge lately. I mean, I love color but there’s something so comforting about black and whites that keep me hanging on ever so tightly.
High-waisted trousers are on the top of my must haves list for Spring/Summer. These from Daily Look are pretty great , I love the sleek look they have. I do wish that they had some pockets on them but it’s no biggie .
I have so much going on in my head right now that the more I think of them, the more I don’t want to do anything. ugh. Does that ever happen to you? I guess I need some sort of a vacation. haha. Some good r&r is needed. sigh
It’s Wednesday and I’m currently wondering “Where did my long chillll weekend go?” – SAD FACE- . I spent my Memorial Day weekend eating good food, spending time with the best people I know, and of course doing some much need R&R. In short, I had a pretty great weekend.
I received a couple of tees from Made in Hell-A, which are based out of L.A and get their inspiration from the cool laid-back West Coast style. As someone who absolutely loves L.A and it’s vibe, I knew I could get into this brand. To add some fun to my outfit, I went ahead and paired my outfit with these mirrored Quay sunnies and styled my hair with a couple of little buns. You know, giving you some 90’s vibe. hehe
