Looking through these photos instantly puts a smile on my face. They take me back to some special moments I had in Palm Springs. No care in the world, only love and happiness on my mind. Who wants to feel anything else but that?
I had the opportunity to pop into the Calypso St. Barth store located in the Bal Harbour Shops the weekend right before I left on my trip. I tried on quite a few things but nothing stood out to me like this gold embellished black tunic. I already knew I was going to love it because of it’s suede wonderfulness and all the gold details.
You’re probably thinking, umm weren’t you hot in that? Why, yes I was! Hah, it was 100 degrees after all but I didn’t care. There’s some things that you’re willing to put up with when you’re crazy about your outfit. So a thousand times -shrug-.
We all know that I tend to go for a bold colorful lip color to go with most of my outfits but this time around I went for a nude tone lip. I absolutely love it. I got it from my Sephora V.I.B rewards, it’s actually one from Make Up For Ever’s aqua lip liner pencils. Once I run out of the sample size I have, I’m going to go runninggg for the full size one or two. It’s THAT serious.
It’s been a full week since I’ve been back from my trip to Palm Springs and I’m definitely happy to be back home. My trip was AMAZING. We picked the perfect destination for what we needed and I definitely came back to Miami feeling super relaxed, just happier. I have tons of video footage so I’m going to be working on a video showing you all that so keep your eyes peeled for that.
This is the first outfit I shot and of course the location the location had to have the desert and mountains in the background. I purchased this long flowy maxi with a high slit in the front and because I’m pretty short, boots were a must. I don’t own too many polka dot prints clothes and I’ve been fine with that. When I came across this specific maxi though, I felt like I needed it and put it in my shopping cart instantly. No regrets.
80’sPurple sent me a care package with some awesome pair of sunglasses and these round mirrored ones were one of them. I went straight for the pair that had the blue lens, you know to keep things fun. They have other colors in this style, definitely should check those out HERE.
I feel like owning a black wide-rimmed fedora is a must in my book. It compliments so many styles especially when you’re into more dark and edgy things like I am. I like to channel my inner witch (hah) from time to time and a black hat is key. A brand that makes killer hats is Lack of Color, I have my eye on a couple of them. So good.
As of now I own two matching sets and I’m definitely into them. This checkered one in particular has all my favorite colors, blues, white, and of course white. Apparently, I can’t seem to stray away from any of these colors. -shrug- oh well.
I’m currently in the process of buying last minute things for my trip to Palm Springs that’s in a week. I’m desperate for some r&r and to do nothing but sunbathe, drink tons of champagne and chill by the pool with the boyfriend. The thought of all that makes me happy but so anxious. I cannot wait!
If any of you lovely people know any good recommendations of places to go while I’m there, please let me know. i do want to sight see a bit. Thank you in advance.
First things first, I’M BACK. I mean, I had no intention of leaving or anything like that but some awful things happened with my site ( I almost lost everything on here) so it took a while to get all that fixed. All thanks to my incredible and loving boyfriend and his awesome patient friend, Gilbert. You’re the bomb! So now that my nightmare is over, I can go back to my blogging. Woop woop!
The other thing in which you probably noticed is that I chopped off a good amount of my hair. It took me awhile to decide this. My love for my long hair was pretty real but as someone that likes change from time to time, I felt the need to do this. It’s hair after-all and it does grows back especially mine. My hair grows fairly quickly so no biggie. I must say that I’m loving my new do, it’s fresh, light and just easy.
This floral shirt by French Connection has been a favorite of mine ever since I picked it out to wear to their brunch that they hosted at Cecconi’s. I still can’t get enough of it and the best part is that it comes with the matching pants. To switch it up a bit, I decided to not bottom it up to the top but instead paired it with a bikini top by Chromat that has some fun criss-cross accents in the front. Comfort and coolness at its finest.
During the madness of MBFWSWIM, I only got to shoot one outfit and for that I can thank Ryan. I picked an outfit to keep myself as cool as possible and even then I still managed to sweat a bit. It’s all good because when you’re having a blast you kind of tend to forget that you’re sweating and who cares anyways because everyone else was in the same boat . haha.
A lovely white StyleStalker top, a pair of faux leather gym shorts and a high ponytail and I was ready to take on day one . This year’s swim week was pretty great. I got to hang out with my awesome friends, met new ones, went to some great shows (Mara Hoffman’s show was IT for me) and got to hang out backstage with Stila Cosmetics . Oh and let’s not forget about the fun after-parties. The exhaustion that came when it was all over was definitely worth it.
