Miami Swim Week has been officially over for about a week already. This year was a bit different from the previous years, not only venues wise but just the way I chose to experience it. My schedule was filled from the a.m to p.m but I decided to roll with it rather then be stressed about going to every single thing. This way I could really enjoy every moment of it, rather than speed through it. It was the best decision. I got the preview a bunch of amazing swimsuit for the upcoming year, hang out and mingle I don’t get to see often and of course grab drinks with my favorite people and just enjoy each others company.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I was going to film footage for my Youtube Channel and also share it with you guys. It took me a few days to edit and be satisfied with the end results so I hope you guys enjoy it!
I know I’ve been MIA for a while but I promise you it’s for legit reasons. Life just gets too crazy or too busy, it’s hard to maintain a balance of everything. On top of it all, a cold that I had a couple of weeks ago turned into bronchitis so yeah that was fun. This past weekend, I finally was able to get out into the world to take some photos. I went scouting for new locations too, I get bored easily so I like to switch it up once in a while. It’s just more fun that way.
Swim Week is next week so I’m trying to get my schedule together. Last year was awesome so I’m hoping it’s just as great even though the heat and humidity will try its best to kill my vibe. Haha. I will be doing video coverage again this year. You can view last year’s HERE and do subscribe! 🙂
For this outfit post, I felt like venturing out and just go for a bit of a drive. Homestead was out destination. I had my heart set on stopping by Knaus Berry Farm but since it’s seasonal, I was about two weeks too late. Yup, that was a bummer but I did manage to find a little spot that had fresh coconuts for sale. My mood turned for the better almost immediate, I LOVE coconut water.
We found this open field in the area and of course had to stop to check it out. My maxi dress is a lovely berry pink color so to have a green scenery as a background was ideal. I’m not going to lie, I ran back and forth and twirled kind a quite after taking these photos. haha. You have to enjoy the little things, right?
It’s officially that time in Miami to wear as little as possible. It’s unbearably hot and not ideal unless you’re under a massive umbrella on the beach. I personally like to wear little dresses or playsuits like this one. I kind of wish I had it in several colors, haha. Of course, keeping the blazing hot sun from your face helps a ton. It’s a good thing I have several wide brimmed hats to help a girl out. I purchased this out from NastyGal late last year, it’s great for a little day outfit and to take with you on a beach/pool outing. I’m actually contemplating buying this one by Lack of Color. It’s so darn cute, which means I kind of need it.
This day was actually pretty great because it was a Sunday and that only means one thing in my world and that I’m a sucker for, brunch. MMmhmm. We headed to our favorite spot in Midtown, GIGI. Ate some good food, had a couple of Stela’s, just enjoyed ourselves. Nothing better than that.
The month of March has been so great so far. I just finished celebrating my birthday along with my fella’s. This time around I didn’t bother driving myself crazy planning my birthday. I kept things pretty low key, dinner, drinks and of course some dancing was involved. I got to hang with some of my favorite people, that’s all I really wanted to be honest.
Now I’m currently wondering what to pack for my weekend trip to Orlando. We’re continuing our birthday celebration there and are going to hit up some theme parks. Fun fun fun. I’m really excited because I finally get to check out Diagon Alley, the latest addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Yes, I’m a Harry Potter nerd. Always and forever, hahah.
